Sounds like somebody can’t take ‘boo’ for an answer (wishing that it was two hours longer)

In an interview with “Fox & Friends” on Wednesday, the first lady, Melania Trump, announced a forthcoming documentary series in which she would be answering “private questions.” The announcement came less than a year after another documentary on Mrs. Trump, called simply “Melania,” was released to mixed reviews. If you’re one of the people who left the theater wishing that it was two hours longer, good news! —Desi Lydic

“I’m sorry, didn’t Melania just release a documentary about yourself? Sounds like somebody can’t take ‘boo’ for an answer.” — Seth Meyers

One slip of the knife and your elite eight becomes a final four (A-plus)

A vasectomy is not something you want to get at the busiest time of the year. It's not an iPhone. It's an unnecessary surgery on the most delicate part of your body. You know if they screw it up, there's no amount of basketball games that's going to make it OK. One slip of the knife and your elite eight becomes a final four. –James Corden

This morning, President Trump made a special phone call to his favorite television program, "Fox & Friends." Open House Today: You Will Be Murdered (I'm going to say, about $130,000 worth)

In Philadelphia, a real estate investor says a home he was scoping out came with an unadvertised surprise. A stairway booby-trapped with a swinging knife.  To be fair, the real estate listing did say, “Open House Today: You Will Be Murdered.” --Stephen Colbert

Then, "Fox & Friends" asked the obvious follow-up: [“Fox & Friends” host] “Do you want to tell us what you got her?” [Trump clip] “Well, I better not get into that because I may get in trouble. Maybe I didn't get her so much. I'll tell you what, she has done — I got her a beautiful card.” You're a billionaire! You got your wife a card?! Do you know what she puts up with? I think she's earned a shopping spree. I'm going to say, about $130,000 worth. --Stephen Colbert

like you were during the Roger Ailes scandal (two bonus minutes)

If you remember a few weeks ago the democrats proposed a $1 Trillion infrastructure deal, and Trump said, “Why not $2 Trillion?” So they said Okay. Today was just supposed to be hammering out the details, but it didn’t work out that way. Trump walked in, didn’t shake anyone’s hand or take a seat, and left before anyone else could speak. All told, it was over in three minutes. According to Stormy Daniels that’s two bonus minutes. --Stephen Colbert

Brian Kilmeade of Fox & Friends wondered why Kirsten Gillibrand would announce that she’s running for president on The Colbert Report. Colbert, “What gives Brian Kilmeade? I thought we were ‘& Friends’. First of all it’s not the Colbert Report. It’s the Colbert ‘Repor.’ The T is silent - like you were during the Roger Ailes scandal. --Stephen Colbert

He drove the economy into a sand trap and took a mulligan (three-hour tongue bath)

Still, it has been funny watching them try to spin this, Trump’s treasury secretary, Scott Bessent, said: ‘It took great courage, great courage for him to stay the course until this moment.’ He stayed the course – it was a golf course, but he stayed it. He did not stay the course! He drove the economy into a sand trap and took a mulligan, that’s what he did. —Jimmy Kimmel

“Why does Donald Trump even need a shower? You’d think the three-hour tongue bath he gets every morning from ‘Fox & Friends’ would be sufficient.” — Jimmy Kimmel

How dare you explain what I did to my wife! (for cocktail hour, enjoy complimentary toilet wine)

Tonight I feel good, because Trump was found guilty and will be sentenced on 11 July. That’s going to be a busy time for convicted felon Donald Trump, as that’s four days before the start of the Republican national convention, and top Republicans are reportedly preparing for the possibility that Trump could be in prison when he accepts the nomination. It’s going to be the RNC live from Cell Block B with a keynote speech from his warden, his cellmate Spider, that one guard who smuggles in cellphones up his butt and, for the cocktail hour, enjoy complimentary toilet wine. —Stephen Colbert

“Trump attended a UFC fight over the weekend before heading back to his home in Florida. It’s good to see him out crossing state lines while he still can. If I had just been found guilty of covering up a hush-money payment to a porn star, I wouldn’t be in a rush to get home to my wife either. Asked on Fox & Friends how Melania was doing, Trump said she was fine, “but she has to read all this crap!” Yeah, I’m pretty sure the only thing she reads is her prenup over and over again. It’s very rich that he’s mad at other people for that – ‘How dare you explain what I did to my wife!’” —Jimmy Kimmel

Where do I know that guy from... (Drapetomania)

President Trump actually has two cell phones that his staff nicknamed “Trump One” and “Trump Two.” Sounds a little like something out of a Dr. Seuss book. Trump wrote his own Dr. Seuss book about himself. We got a copy. Check this out [shows illustrated book]. It says, “The day was beginning, I rolled up my sleeves, I put on my tie that goes past my knees. Too cold to go out, too hyper to snooze, so I sat in the house and binge-watched Fox News. I ate some McDonald’s, I ate KFC, I ate more McDonald’s and more KFC. I went to the doctor, he said everything’s fine. But even I doubt I weigh 239.” --Jimmy Fallon

And it seems like there's no end in sight to the shutdown. You can tell Trump's desperate to get money for his wall, 'cause earlier today, he proposed to Jeff Bezos. --Jimmy Fallon

But this morning, Eric Trump went on “Fox & Friends” and passionately defended his father. While at home, the president was like, “Where do I know that guy from...” --Jimmy Fallon

I’m afraid the Kraken was also indicted (a carnival of idiots)

Donald Trump’s former lawyer Sidney Powell has pleaded guilty to election interference after a string of offenses including hiring people to barge into a voting location. Her deal means she will be cooperating to provide information on Trump. Oh man the chicken McNuggets are coming home to roost. —Jimmy Kimmel

It is still shocking to refer to the former president as being involved in four criminal cases. One of which has seen a development with the aforementioned Sidney Powell pleading guilty after making unhinged claims about voter subversion. What really throws me off though is how she says all of those really crazy things in such a flat tone. At least Rudy Giuliani has the decency to scream when he’s being a fucking nutball. —Seth Meyers

Sidney Powell had also promised to ‘release the Kraken’ in reference to all of the incriminating information she allegedly had. She did release the Kraken but I’m afraid the Kraken was also indicted. —Seth Meyers

On Fox & Friends the host Brian Kilmeade referred to the Republican party as ‘a carnival of idiots’ which coincidentally was the original title for Fox & Friends. —Seth Meyers

I’d like to point out that none of Lincoln’s supporters carried Confederate flags (I'm going to say, about $130,000 worth)

"I mean, at the end of this man's presidency, even as my fellow conservatives were abandoning George Bush like rats on a sinking ship on a crash course with Cat Island, I remained faithful, and I'm sure he knows that from the warrantless wiretaps he authorized." –Stephen Colbert

“Donald Trump compared himself to Abraham Lincoln during his Fox News interview. Really? You’re going to compare yourself to Abraham Lincoln? Well, I’d like to point out that none of Lincoln’s supporters carried Confederate flags.” —Stephen Colbert

He said this during a 30-minute-long rambling call to Fox & Friends (50-50 chance)

It is first lady Melania Trump’s birthday today. The president celebrated this morning with a bonkers 30-minute-long phone call to "Fox & Friends," at the start of which they asked, what'd you get Melania for her birthday? He said he's too busy to buy her a present — keeping in mind he said this during a 30-minute-long rambling call to “Fox & Friends.” --Jimmy Kimmel

Our relationship with North Korea is especially tense right now. And one way or another, Donald Trump is going to do something about that [plays clip of Trump saying Bill Clinton and Obama “have all been outplayed by this gentleman”] — just as soon as he figures out that Kim Jong Un and his father, Kim Jong Il, are two different people. –Jimmy Kimmel

Does President Trump really not know that when Bill Clinton was president, Kim Jong Un was 16 years old? This is crazy! There’s a 50-50 chance we might accidentally bomb South Korea if we’re not careful. –Jimmy Kimmel

And those are just the ones I had a dream about last night (Behold! The Invisible Woman!)

he doesn't look like the kind of guy who wins a lot of races (Smallpox & Friends)

Yesterday on Fox & Friends, host Peter Hegseth made a rather unusual admission on air. Hegseth, “I don’t think I have washed my hands in ten years. Germs are not a real thing. I can’t see them, therefore they are not real.” He hasn’t washed his hands in ten years? Now this is ironic, because every time I watch Fox News I need to take a shower. It’s a pretty shocking revelation but that does explain why the show Fox & Friends will be changing its name to Smallpox & Friends. --James Corden

An A-plus! From where — Trump University? (he must taste delicious)

A 20-year-old man from Colorado recently survived a shark bite in Hawaii. Less than a year before that, he was attacked by a 300-pound black bear. And a few years before that, he was bitten by a rattlesnake while hiking. Based on these incidents, we do know a lot about this man. For example, he must taste delicious.  --James Corden

This weekend, family, friends, and dignitaries gathered in Houston to celebrate former first lady Barbara Bush, who passed away at 92. It was a beautiful ceremony befitting of the wonderful life that she lived. And at the gathering, there was a rare group photo featuring the Bush family, the Clintons, the Obamas, and Melania Trump. he has almost enough weapons training to work as a school teacher (she's just not that into you)

Trump’s bodyguard has a lot of experience in his field. He served in the U.S. Navy and the New York City police department, so according to Trump, he has almost enough weapons training to work as a school teacher. --James Corden

This is just like a romantic comedy. The man was like, “I'm just a hijacker, standing in front of his hostages, asking them to deliver this letter to my ex.” This guy was really feeling bad about his breakup. Cops knew he wasn't your average terrorist when a list of his demands included sweat pants, ice cream, and an Adele CD. I feel sorry for this guy. I feel like I want to give him some advice and say to him, “If you have to hijack a plane, she's just not that into you.” –James Corden

Criticism is the only thing in his life he’s actually earned (How could you forget your marijuana?)

Three people were arrested and charged in New Jersey today after leaving behind a pound of marijuana in their hotel room. How could you forget your marijuana? Oh. Right. –Seth Meyers

President Trump tweeted this morning, "Just arrived in Vietnam. Thank you to all of the people for the great reception in Hanoi. Tremendous crowds and so much love." Before adding, "If I had known it would be this good, I wouldn't have dodged coming the first time." --Seth Meyers

A restaurant here in New York has started selling a so-called “New Yorker milkshake” which comes topped with whipped cream and a slice of cheesecake. Which means the next topping you’ll get is a coffin lid. –Seth Meyers

The last time Trump got a spanking like that was with a copy of Forbes magazine by Stormy Daniels (even better, a Patrick Swayze)

November 2021

“There was a significant blow to Donald Trump’s attempts to skirt accountability for the 6 January attack on the Capitol after a federal judge denied Trump’s petition to keep certain White House records secret. The judge ruled that a list of records compiled by the National Archives including handwritten notes specifically about 6 January, call logs between Trump and Mike Pence, White House visitor logs and daily schedules must be made available to the House’s 6 January select committee. I’m shocked to learn there even was a daily schedule. Remember when we found out most days it said ‘executive time’ and that was just code for Trump not wanting to leave the bedroom? He’d just spend the morning in his PJs calling in to Fox & Friends while viewers waited for them to blink to make sure they’re still alive? Maybe that’s why Trump didn’t care about the pandemic – he was the first president to work remotely. And even when he did show up to the office, I’d be shocked if there were ever actually records or official documents in that White House. Do you think anyone ever took notes in a meeting with Trump? When they finally subpoena those notepads, they’re just going to be filled with random doodles and inscrutable comments like ‘ingest bleach, maybe?’” —Seth Meyers

“Federal judge Tanya Chutkan denied Trump’s attempt to shield records from the committee. That is the worst denial for the former president since anytime he tried to hold his wife’s hand. In the court filing, Trump argued that he maintained a ‘residual right’ to executive privilege even while out of office. You don’t get to keep any part of a job you lost! It’s all gone! That’s why you didn’t see Christian Bale playing Dick Cheney in a Batman suit. Chutkan wrote in her ruling that Trump’s request for executive privilege was ‘outweighed by President Biden’s decision not to uphold the privilege’ because ‘there can be only one president at a time.’ She wrote that ‘Presidents are not kings,’ and ‘Plaintiff is not President.’ I have not seen such a brutal attack on an elected official since January 6th.” —Stephen Colbert

“The last time Trump got a spanking like that was with a copy of Forbes magazine by Stormy Daniels.” —Jimmy Kimmel

“Now Trump’s legal team is going to have to figure out what to obstruct next. At this point Trump’s lawyers are, like, the losingest team in history, of any team ever. More than the Clippers. More than the Lions. More than the Washington Generals. And the Globetrotters beat them, like, 5,000 games in a row.” —Jimmy Kimmel

“And there’s no way Trump himself ever wrote anything down. He never even wrote any of his own books. They were ghostwritten, which I’m sure Trump took literally. [imitating Trump] ‘I didn’t write it — a ghost did, and I was pretty disappointed when I met the ghost. They said, ‘Donald, we’re getting you a ghostwriter,’ and I was hoping for a Slimer or, even better, a Patrick Swayze.” —Seth Meyers

That’s why on the 20th, we won’t be swearing in President BTS (a new way to get impeached)

January 2021

“One problem: Rally size does not decide an election. That’s why on the 20th, we won’t be swearing in President BTS.” — Stephen Colbert, referring to the K-pop supergroup

“Trump asked Raffensperger to somehow find enough votes to flip Georgia, so that he would win the state by one vote. One vote. Trump was like, ‘Because if we’re going to do this, we can’t make it obvious.’” —Jimmy Fallon

“Trump’s call lasted for an hour, by the way. An hour. It was like one of his calls to ‘Fox & Friends’ except he actually cared what the other person had to say on this one.” —Jimmy Fallon

“What a waste. Trump could have spent that hour not helping roll out the vaccine.” —Jimmy Fallon

It’s an election, not the results of a Covid test (the last place man would look)

August 2020

“After his disastrous Axios interview, Trump cocooned himself with the weighted blanket that is Fox & Friends. The return to his beloved softball morning show after Axios and another widely mocked interview with Fox News’s Chris Wallace demonstrated how Trump basically tried dating other shows then ended up back with his ex. The 53-minute ramble to Fox & Friends went pretty much how you’d expect, – at one point, Trump tried to instill fear over mail-in voting for the November election, claiming such a practice would delay results for ‘months and months, actually could be for years’. Months or years? It’s an election, not the results of a Covid test.” —Jimmy Fallon

“Yeah, Trump was like, ‘It’s going to take a while. Imagine the time it takes me to walk down a ramp — now double that.” —Jimmy Fallon

“The Fox & Friends interview also asked Trump about reports that he’s considered giving his acceptance speech for the Republican presidential ticket from the White House instead of the convention in Florida; Trump said such a decision would be ‘easiest from the standpoint of security’ in a ‘beautiful setting’ where he’s spent a lot of time. No mention of coronavirus. Basically, Trump’s message is: Nobody should worry about the virus. Anyway, totally unrelated, I’ll be giving my speech from home.” —Jimmy Fallon

I’m not crying, it’s the teargas from my church photoshoot blowing back in my face (Burning Trash Can Channel)

“Trump’s abysmal poll numbers, which put disapproval of his job performance at 54%, the highest recorded for any president at this point in his first term. Right now, Trump seems to be polling somewhere between Jake Paul and that time I decided to grow a mustache for the summer. When Trump saw his numbers, he started crying and then was like, ‘I’m not crying, it’s the teargas from my church photoshoot blowing back in my face.’” —Jimmy Fallon

“That’s right, everyone seems to be turning on him – to give you an example, Fox & Friends is now just Fox and Friend. At this point, Trump should just go for 100% disapproval and then take credit for uniting the country.” —Jimmy Fallon

“A cellphone video captured a Miami police officer shoving a woman with her hands up to the ground; the Miami Herald later found that that officer had been reviewed by police internal affairs for excessive force 79 times in three and a half years on the job. Seventy-nine times in three and a half years – I haven’t used shampoo that much in the same time period. And granted, I probably should’ve, but how many times do you have to get in trouble before you get fired. No other job works like that! If a commercial airline pilot had been investigated 79 times for flying upside down and doing barrel rolls while hammered on Goldschläger, we wouldn’t be like, ‘All right, man, 80 strikes and you’re out!’” —Seth Meyers

“Please don’t buy the false narrative that these are lawless mobs. The vast majority of these protests have been peaceful. And you might not know that if you watch cable news, because to the news, peace is boring. That’s why CNN just launched their sister network: the Burning Trash Can Channel.” —Stephen Colbert
