Biden is over the moon (for Gil) - poem by John Hulse

Biden is over the moon (for Gil)

The food I can afford

is barely keeping me alive

and Biden is over the moon

no baby formula on the shelves

and Biden is over the moon

The water in Flint still

tastes like hell

and Biden is over the moon

The air in the sky is

starting to smell

and Biden is over the moon

Nothing has fundamentally

changed

with Biden over the moon

Here’s 40 Billion more for Ukraine

and Biden is over the moon

no truth, no peace and no justice

and Biden is over the moon

The press pretends not to notice

that Biden is over the moon

Children in classrooms are being

gunned down

and Biden is over the moon

Nowhere to go but underground

while Biden is over the moon

The price of gas is going up,

corrupt politicians don’t give

a fuck,

and if all that shit wasn’t

enough

Biden is over the moon

At this point I’d probably have more rights if my vagina was an AR-15 (1 in 6 American children live in poverty)

“I will be here all week long, or at least until Republicans make it illegal for women to talk. Jimmy is off right now doing whatever the [expletive] he wants with his body.” —Chelsea Handler

“Remember like five days ago when Fox News told us the biggest threat facing America was drag queens? That was cute.” —Chelsea Handler

“At this point I’d probably have more rights if my vagina was an AR-15.” —Chelsea Handler

“And yet Republicans intend to press further, as the House minority leader, Kevin McCarthy, made clear on Friday: ‘We will continue to look wherever we can go to save as many lives as possible.’ Sure, just as long as that life doesn’t need baby formula, affordable healthcare, or a place to learn without getting shot.” —Chelsea Handler

“Not only has this decision further divided our country, most families now have two separate group texts going: one with relatives who support the rights of women and one with the relatives who live in Florida.” —Chelsea Handler

It turns out the name Native Americans dislike the most is still the Cowboys (Ooh, I said no pepperoni)

A new poll found that 90 percent of Native Americans aren't bothered by the controversial name of the Washington Redskins. It turns out the name Native Americans dislike the most is still the Cowboys. –Jimmy Fallon

Italian chefs recently set a new world record after making a mile-long pizza that took five ovens and over 11 hours to bake. It got weird when the person who ordered the pizza was like, "Ooh, I said no pepperoni." –Jimmy Fallon

"Pope Francis will bring a rabbi and a Muslim leader with him when he travels to the Holy Land this week. Or as bartenders put it, 'We've been expecting you.'" –Jimmy Fallon

Tough news for psychos whose first World guess is always Fetus (Good. That's a start.)

Cryptocurrency crashed this week, with Bitcoin losing nearly half its value, and now it has to legally change its name to Bit O’Coin. In fact, the entire crypto market has lost over $1 Trillion. But don’t worry, you can make that money back fast as long as you’ve been hoarding baby formula. —Colin Jost

Senator Mitch McConnell seen here smiling as a shelter dog gets passed up for adoption, led a congressional delegation for a surprise visit to Ukraine today. It’s weird because usually when McConnell shows up by surprise, it’s behind you in the bathroom mirror. —Colin Jost

The New York Times said it changed the answer for Monday’s Worldle which was fetus because it was too closely connected to a major news story. Tough news for psychos whose first World guess is always Fetus. —Colin Jost

Apparently they can’t decide between a ticker tape parade or a dance party (the baby should be fine)

May 2022

“There is a national shortage on baby formula, which has left parents desperate and led authorities to warn people not to try to make their own recipe. Just mix you up some Gatorade and some baby powder, throw in some breakfast sausage and it blend it up real good, the baby should be fine.” —Jimmy Kimmel

“That is a tough spot to be in, not having baby formula. Because what are you going to do? You can’t go to Wendy’s and get them a Frosty. You have to have the formula.” —Jimmy Kimmel

“I’ll tell ya, there’s never been a better time for the supreme court to force women to have more kids than right now.” —Jimmy Kimmel

“Meanwhile, congressional Republicans are reportedly split over what to do if the supreme court officially overturns Roe vs Wade, as last week’s leaked draft opinion indicates. Apparently they can’t decide between a ticker tape parade or a dance party.” —Seth Meyers
