the two biggest mistakes that he made on one day (Well, I guess it’s off to the North Pole)

“Donald Trump today suggested he’ll consider using economic force to get Canada to become part of the United States. And if that doesn’t get him the Nobel Prize, I don’t know what is going to.” — Jimmy Kimmel

It’s actually very convenient that Eric’s birthday is on January 6th. That way Trump only has to remember the two biggest mistakes that he made on one day. —Jimmy Kimmel

“Donald Trump suggested he’ll consider using economic force to get Canada to become part of the United States. Right now, everyone who moved to Canada after Trump won is like, ‘Well, I guess it’s off to the North Pole.’” — Jimmy Fallon

Political analysts are calling it a bold move that could change nothing (I'm still cleaning up your last mess)

Amazon is raising the price of its prime membership by $20. Which sounds like a lot, until you remember what it feels like to make eye contact with a cashier when you buy a 40-pack of toilet paper. --Jimmy Fallon

"President Obama will attend the dedication of George W. Bush's library this month. Apparently there's still a lot of debris around the new building, or as Obama put it, 'Don't look at me, I'm still cleaning up your last mess.'" –Jimmy Fallon

Saturday was the White House Correspondents' Dinner, and Trump called it a very big, boring bust. This is the first time in history Trump has called a big bust boring. --Jimmy Fallon

"Jamaica is reportedly close to passing a measure that would legalize marijuana. Yeah, in Jamaica. Political analysts are calling it a bold move that could change nothing." –Jimmy Fallon

Republicans hyped this dud for weeks (learn how footnotes work)

We're still dealing with the fallout of the infamous Republican memo written by House Intelligence Committee chair Devin Nunes.

Republicans hyped this dud for weeks, and the central argument of the memo is that the FBI was biased when they got a warrant to wiretap former Trump adviser Carter Page.

Nunes says the FBI relied exclusively on the Steele dossier and never disclosed to the judge that the dossier was paid for by Trump's political opponents.

Now, if true, that's a pretty damning charge. Spoiler alert: Not true. Turns out, the partisan nature of the dossier was mentioned in a footnote.

Now, Nunes should learn how footnotes work. He's about to become one in history. --Stephen Colbert
