when you cover a train wreck you don’t give equal time to the train (leave them for a younger state)

“In Florida, Mitt Romney won the Republican presidential primary election. He beat Newt Gingrich handily. Political analysts believe that elderly voters in Florida rejected Newt Gingrich because of fears that he would eventually leave them for a younger state.” –Jimmy Kimmel

Saturday will mark the anniversary of President Trump’s first year in office, and he’s wrapping it up on a bit of a low note. According to Gallup, Trump has the lowest average approval rating of any first-year president, 39%. Which still seems high to me. Two out of five Americans are going, “Great job, man, you’re nailing it. Let’s go watch ‘The Emoji Movie’ again, I loved that too.” To put that number, 39%, in perspective, a Muslim socialist president who was born in Kenya left office with an approval rating of 58%. --Jimmy Kimmel

Speaking of fake news, today is the day the president promised to hand out his most corrupt and dishonest media awards. Trump continually complains that coverage by the mainstream media is negative. And that is true, of course it’s been negative — when you cover a train wreck you don’t give equal time to the train. --Jimmy Kimmel

“A magisterial collection. A combination of Bukowski’s Last Night of the Earth

and Orwell’s 1984.”
