To keep them in control was not difficult (It was so hard staying alive, staying alive)

“I don’t understand how Trump has never heard of the person in charge of finding the vaccine to the disease that has shut down the entire world — and don’t tell me it’s because he’s too busy. I mean, this is the same man — the same man who says he’s been watching every nightly news show plus CNN, MSNBC in the morning, Fox News on weekend afternoons, and even reruns of baseball. Reruns! Let me tell you something: If you have time to watch reruns of baseball, you have time for anything. Baseball is boring when it’s happening. Watching it in reruns is like watching paint dry through a PowerPoint presentation.” — Trevor Noah

“You know, Trump talks about cabin fever like it’s an actual illness. [as Trump] This cabin fever, worse than any disease we’ve ever had, even worse than the disease from the ’70s, disco fever. It was so hard staying alive, staying alive.” — Trevor Noah

he's going to run for president of North Korea (I’m pretty sure I had a robot make me a frozen burrito last night)

During the speech, Donald Trump threatened to "totally destroy North Korea," which can only mean one thing — he's going to run for president of North Korea. –James Corden

A new restaurant has opened in Boston where all the food is cooked by robots. The restaurant was started by a group of engineers from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. A robot that can cook a meal. Is this a new thing? Isn't this just a microwave? I’m pretty sure I had a robot make me a frozen burrito last night. --James Corden

it's the same design used to construct Nancy Pelosi's eyebrows (but an ironing board beat her to it)

You both historically care deeply about the same thing (It’s never great when someone says...)

There have been public clashes between Donald Trump and Pope Leo XIV, which began when the pope delivered a beautiful, compassionate message for the Easter holiday calling for peace around the world. It does not come into my brain that anyone in the world hearing the Pope’s message of peace will have some kind of weird problem with it. Except for Trump, who posted on his social media website Truth Social that the leader of the Catholic church was “weak” and a “loser”. I am really starting to sour on this president. Look, President Trump, I know the Vatican’s been critical of your policies, but you gotta remember that at the end of the day you and the Catholic church both historically care deeply about the same thing – covering up sex scandals. —Jon Stewart

President Trump has criticized the pope, whom he has called a “loser”. According to one Italian religious historian, not even Hitler or Mussolini attacked the pope so directly and publicly. It’s never great when someone says, ‘You should really be more discreet and respectful. You know, like Hitler.’ —Stephen Colbert

What walks on two cankles in the morning, rides a golf cart in the afternoon and is totally in the Epstein files? (Oval Office chimney)

On Tuesday, Congress approved a bill ordering the Justice Department to release all files related to its investigation of Jeffrey Epstein, the sex offender whose famous friends over the years included Donald J. Trump. Of course, this vote doesn’t mean the Epstein files will be released right away. The bill now has to go to the Senate, where it may be amended. And if it’s passed there, and amended, it would go back to the House, where it has to cross a river, and under the bridge is a troll, and to get by the troll, you have to answer his riddle: ‘What walks on two cankles in the morning, rides a golf cart in the afternoon and is totally in the Epstein files?’ — Stephen Colbert

“After the vote was passed to release the Epstein files, white smoke emerged from the Oval Office chimney — ’cause Trump started burning them.” — Jimmy Fallon

How about for each day of the shutdown, they release one name from the Epstein list? (the Grey’s Anatomy’of government shutdowns)

“Well, guys, after Congress failed to reach a spending deal, the government shut down for the first time since 2018. Yeah, as a result, all nonessential government workers will be sent home without pay. Today, President Trump looked at JD Vance and said, ‘[imitating Trump] JD, I’ll see you in a couple of weeks.’” — Jimmy Fallon

Thursday marked the second day of the government shutdown. No one has any idea how long it will last. People are calling it the ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ of government shutdowns. —Jimmy Fallon

“If this does last awhile, I think they should at least make it fun for the rest of us, right? I mean, how about for each day of the shutdown, they release one name from the Epstein list?” — Jimmy Fallon

How narcissistic (OBEY)

And finally, Kamala Harris also claimed Joe Biden called her before the debate with Trump to mostly talk about himself. In his defense, though, he was screaming, "Help! I've fallen and I can't get up." How narcissistic. —Greg Gutfeld

One of the reasons Kamala Harris didn't choose Josh Shapiro as her VP was that she was concerned that he wanted to be in the room for every decision, which is a problem for her since she likes to drink alone. —Greg Gutfeld

I mean, where are you going to find 12 people who haven't had sex with Diddy? (planes can just follow the smell)

A new report shows that there have been at least nine incidents at Newark Airport where air-traffic controllers have lost contact with planes that were about to land. But luckily, it's Newark, so planes can just follow the smell. —Colin Jost
