President Trump spoke at a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the opening of his new helipad at the White House on Monday — or at least he tried to. The major television networks had suspended their pooled coverage of Trump because of his refusal to allow CNN to serve as a pool representative. The White House provided its own YouTube stream of the event, but the audio was garbled and the president’s remarks were almost entirely inaudible. Seriously though, I think we may have accidentally cracked the code on how to cover Trump. We don’t need to hear what he’s saying. He’s either bragging or lying, let’s just lose the sound. —Seth Meyers
